Parache helps the Normal CornBelters down the Washington Wild Things 5-3

Luis Parache went 2-4, helping the Normal CornBelters (34-27) to a 5-3 victory over the Washington Wild Things (28-33) on Sunday at CONSOL Energy Park.

He singled in the second inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Luis Noel's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Normal CornBelters past the Washington Wild Things. Noel allowed three earned runs on two hits and three walks over seven innings.

Shain Stoner was solid at the plate for the Washington Wild Things. Stoner went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Dan Goldstein ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
