A walk-off single from Seth Granger brought home the winning run for the Lake Erie Crushers (30-27) in a 3-2 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners (31-26) at All Pro Freight Stadium on Wednesday.

Matt Smith allowed no earned runs, five hits and four walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Cory Harrilchak led the Southern Illinois Miners' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Dale Dickerson improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Erie Crushers. He allowed one run over one inning. Dickerson struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.

Michael Carden ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
