The Normal CornBelters (2-1) and the Evansville Otters (1-2) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Normal CornBelters capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-4 win at Bosse Field.

The Normal CornBelters staved off the Evansville Otters as the Evansville Otters were unable to match the Normal CornBelters down the stretch.
