The Barrie Baycats (21-15) beat the Hamilton Cardinals (6-30) 11-4 on Saturday at Schmidt and Shaw Stadium after a six-run explosion in the second inning.

Ryan Spataro racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Barrie Baycats. He tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.

Ryan Dillabough picked up the win for the Barrie Baycats. Dillabough allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

Benson Merritt couldn't get it done on the hill for the Hamilton Cardinals, taking a loss. He allowed 11 runs in five innings, walked four and struck out six.
