Jason Gotwalt brought home the go-ahead run to give the Brantford Red Sox (18-3) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Brantford Red Sox hung on to beat the Guelph Royals (11-13) 6-1 on Wednesday.
With the score tied at one, Gotwalt came to the plate and homered, bringing home Scott Thorman.Gotwalt racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Brantford Red Sox. He homered in the sixth inning.
Nathan Forer racked up five strikeouts in the the Brantford Red Sox win. Forer allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk over six innings.
Andrew Vant Wout (1-3) took the loss for the Guelph Royals. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
