Tim Thiesing returns home to Massachusetts this summer after finishing his junior year as an innings-eating starter for the Owls of Keene State College. The South Grafton native’s season was highlighted by a dominate win as the ace of the staff in game one of the Little East Conference Championship.

In 2011, Thiesing tied for the Owls’ team lead with ten starts, going 3-2 with a solid 4.08 ERA. His 46.1 innings of work were the third-highest total on the team while his 42 punchouts led all pitchers. Overall, Thiesing allowed 45 hits and walked just 14 batters while opponents were only able to collect a .241 batting average against him. He picked up steam as the season rolled along and pitched into the fifth inning or later in six of his last eight starts. Keene State was 8-2 in Thiesing’s ten starts this season, the best mark for any pitcher who took the hill for the Owls.
