Ezell was an All Peach Belt Conference second team selection in 2015 for Columbus State University. He pitched 59.2 innings, posting an ERA of 4.22 in 13 appearances, 9 starts. Posted a record of 6-3 on the season. As a junior in 2014, he Pitched in 16 games mostly out of the bullpen, pitched 25 innings with a 1-1 record and a 3.60 ERA. Had 33 strikeouts on the year. Propelled the Cougars into the Southeast Regional championship game with an outstanding relief performance against Lander.
