BIOGRAPHY: Frederick Deshaun Lewis, 34 years of age, was born on December 9th 1980, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He graduated from Stone Hill High School in Wiggins, Mississippi where he was a a three sport athlete playing baseball, football, and Basketball. Lewis attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisianna.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Lewis was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 2nd round of the 2002 draft. He made his Major League debut with the Giants on September 1st of 2006 against the Chicago Cubs. His best season at the Major League level came in 2008, hitting .282, 9 home runs, and 40 runs batted in, playing in 133 games. Fred played a combined seven season at the Major League level for San Francisco (NL), Toronto (AL), Cincinnati (NL), New York (NL). Lewis last played at the Major League level in 2012 with the New York Mets. Fred also played oversees in Japan in 2013 with Hiroshima.
2014 EXPERIENCE: Fred Lewis spent the 2014 season with Lancaster and Bridgeport in the Atlantic League. He hit a combined .259, with 6 home runs, and 39 runs batted in. He ended the season on a six game hitting streak (9/13-9/21). He finished a single shy of the cycle on August 24th. Lewis drove in three runs on September 1st against Sugar Land as a member of Bridgeport.
