Born on July 23, 1991, Carasiti is a first year player out of Berlin, CT.  A four-year letterwinner at Berlin High School, Carasiti was the 2009 Gatorade State Player of the Year, as well as the 2009 Northeast Coca Cola Player of the Year and a 2009 Louisville Silver Slugger All-American. Carasiti was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 36th round in the 2009 MLB draft, but elected to go to St. John’s University.  As a freshman, Carasiti went 7-4 for the Red Storm in 17 appearances.
