As a sophomore at Holy Cross College in 2013, southpaw Jeremy Perron appeared in 12 games and started 2, allowing only nine earned runs in 21.0 innings. Perron threw 12.0 scoreless innings and 5.1 hitless innings during the season, while striking out 15 batters, including a season-high of four in 5.0 innings against Brown.  At St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Bradenton, Florida, Perron played four years of varsity baseball as a pitcher and first basemen, and captained the team during his junior and senior seasons.  He compiled a career ERA of 2.35 with 145 strikeouts, and was no slouch with the bat.  Perron set his high school single-season record with a .612 average as a senior, and batted .443 in his career with 58 RBI and 66 runs scored.
