O’Connor, 33, joins the Blue Crabs after pitching for the Minnesota Twins AAA-affiliate, Rochester. In 13 games for the Rochester Red Wings, the southpaw went 0-1 in five starts with 16.2 innings of work. Over the past four seasons, O’Connor has pitched in four Major League organizations all of which were at the AAA level.

The  6’3”, 185-pound, lefty made his Major League debut in 2006 with the Washington Nationals were he went 3-8 with a 4.80 ERA in 105.0 innings and 59 strikeouts. He went on to pitch again for the Nationals in 2008 where he mainly pitched in a relief role. He finished the season with 9.0 innings pitched in 5 games. In 2001, O’Connor made his way back to the Majors and finished with an 0-1 record and an ERA of 2.70 in 6.2 innings pitched.

The Dallas, TX native was drafted in the 7th round of the 2002 MLB Amateur Draft by the Montreal Expos out of the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
