Cooper who arrived with team late last season was very impressive in his time on the hill. He was 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA in 4 games with the Pelicans last year. Before arriving to Pensacola, Cooper was playing for the Bay Area baseball squad of the Continental League and was 5-2 with a 2.22 ERA in 11 starts. The Pelicans believe this young arm can be a great backbone to this year’s pitching staff.
