Bond played 86 games for the Crushers last year, spending most of the season in the outfield. He hit .259 with 49 runs, 74 hits, 12 doubles, 3 triples, 7 homeruns and 36 RBI.

2007-08 Ball State University
Bond transferred to Ball State University in 2007 for his junior and senior season. He earned a varsity letter his first season with the Cardinals, leading the team in hits (64), runs (38), stolen bases (15) and multiple hit games (18). He batted .309 with 5 home runs and 23 RBI.

In 2008, he hit .327 in 52 games, scoring 52 runs. He led the team in homeruns (14), RBI (55), hits (69), hit by pitches (14) and stolen bases (14). For his stellar season, the centerfielder earned All-Mid America Conference honors.

2005-06 Lincoln Trail College
Bond played the two first seasons of his college career at Lincoln Trail College. He hit .403 as a sophomore with 13 doubles, five homeruns, 28 RBI and eight stolen bases. His play earned him All-Great Rivers Athletic Conference honors.

Personal
Wayne is the son of Wayne and Judy Bond. He has three brothers, Anthony, Jason and Ryan.
