Palmer Karr, Jr. is a Homewood, Alabama, native who attended Berry College in Georgia. Karr began his career with the Pensacola Pelicans of the Central League in 2005 and split time with the Pelicans, the Laredo Broncos of the United League, and the Fort Worth Cats in 2006 before moving to the Alexandria Aces in 2007 and 2008. Karr was selected to two United League All-Star games with the Broncos in 2006. Karr moved on to the Brockton Rox of the Canadian-American Association in 2009 and was selected as a Post Season All-Star. For the past two seasons, Karr has competed for the Shreveport-Bossier Captains and was an All-Star selection in 2010 and hit .245/.314/.423 with 43 runs, 76 hits, 19 doubles, 12 home runs, and 55 RBIs in 82 games in 2011. During his seven season professional career, Karr has hit .284/.357/.489 with 324 runs, 562 hits, 115 doubles, 94 home runs, and 376 RBIs in 522 games with a career fielding percentage of .970 as an outfielder.
