Mummau just finished up his first year at FGCU after transferring in from St. Petersburg College (NJCAA). He started 40 of the Eagles’ 60 games and put up a slash line of .271/.371/.347 while slugging 1 HR, 1 3B, and 6 2B. In total, he drove in 24 runs and scored 25 runs this spring. He picked up his first NCAA hit in his first game for FGCU which was against Hofstra (2/17). He had two four hit games this spring (3/24 against North Alabama and 4/7 against Queens). He played a reliable defensive SS this past spring only making 8 errors which was good for a .946 fielding percentage. Mummau is a Florida native and at Palm Harbor University High School he batted .463 with 27 SB as a senior which led him to winning Conference Player of The Year. His father, Rob, played baseball at James Madison and was in the minor league system of the Toronto Blue Jays.
