Friedman began his freshman year as a reliever before assuming a spot in the weekend rotation for the majority of Stonehill’s first run through Northeast Conference play. The Swampscott product posted a 2-2 record, 3.59 ERA and 41 strikeouts over his team-leading 52.2 innings. He finished the Skyhawks’ first Division 1 season with back-to-back victories, including a 10-strikeout performance against first-place Central Connecticut. 

Before making his collegiate debut this spring, Friedman captained Swampscott High School as a senior. He was the Big Blue’s team MVP and a Northeastern Conference All-Star.
