Espelin will be wearing a Navs uniform for the second straight summer and third time in his college career as he comes off his senior season at Dayton. The left-hander out of Belmont earned his most significant time as a Flyer this spring, striking out 29 in 27.1 innings over 18 appearances. His 2023 campaign also included five of his six career starts, as he even slotted into the rotation for a late-February outing against then-No. 3 Tennessee.

Last summer for North Shore, Espelin worked in a team-high 19 games covering 36.2 innings and had a 4.17 ERA almost exclusively out of the bullpen. He also recorded a pair of saves and pitched scoreless ball in 10 of his appearances.
