The rising junior arrives in Newport this summer after a strong season for East Carolina where he posted a 3.65 ERA across 37 innings pitched. Hunter worked almost exclusively out of the bullpen, making 16 appearances and starting three games. On April 4th, Hunter registered a win after pitching 4 1/3 innings out of the pen and striking out five against NC State. This will be Hunter’s first taste of summer baseball.
