Alex Sexton is an alumni of the Futures League, playing in 2018 for the Winter Park Freedom. Sexton is a native of Dunedin, Florida, and plays his college baseball at Division II Queens University in Charlotte. Sexton was an immediate starter for the Royals, starting 36 games during his freshman season in 2019. He belted four home runs, drove in 18 runs, and scored 19. Before the shutdown in 2020, Sexton had started 14 of Queens' 21 games, and drove in eight runs. The infielder is a product of Dunedin High School, and made a stop at Inspiration Academy between his high school and college careers.
