Chris Gonzalez has been a major part of the rotation at Stetson over the past two seasons, making 18 starts between 2019 and 2020. In 2019, Gonzalez logged a 7-3 record with a 3.40 ERA, and walked just 22 hitters in 92.2 innings of work. He retained his pinpoint control in 2020, posting a mark of 29 strikeouts and five walks over 27.1 innings on the mound. Gonzalez was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team in 2019, and was named the league's Pitcher of the Week during that season. Last summer, the lefthanded pitched for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League. He has also seen time in the summer ball circuit for the Plymouth Pilgrims of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
