Dustin Woodcock enters his first season with the Grizzlies and in professional baseball in 2019. Woodcock made his professional debut in the Grizzlies' game in Florence on June 22.

Woodcock, 23, finished his five-year career at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) this spring. He finished in the top 10 in Cougars program history in career games played (201), games started (200), hits (226), and doubles (48). He also completed his career with 22 collegiate home runs, a total that ranks 11th all-time at SIUE. He hit .302 with an .880 OPS over his five-year, four-season tenure.

After a career-best .330 batting average as a junior in 2017, Woodcock was sidelined with a season-ending injury one game into 2018. He was granted a medical redshirt and returned as a fifth-year senior this spring.

Woodcock also played four seasons (2015-2018) of collegiate summer baseball in the prestigous Northwoods League, where he was a member of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Woodcock starred for the Rafters, who won the NWL title in 2016 with him as the team MVP. Woodcock was an NWL All-Star in 2017, when he hit .318 with 10 home runs and 61 RBIs in 67 games (.449 OBP, .967 OPS) and stole 14 bases on 16 attempts.

Woodcock started his Grizzlies tenure on a five-game hitting streak.
