Watson is another experienced outfielder, having spent parts of three seasons in the majors with the Washington Nationals and spending 10 years in the minor leagues. Watson was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the ninth round of the 1999 MLB Draft as a 17-year-old out of Westchester High School in Los Angeles. Watson had his best minor league season in 2005 at Class AAA New Orleans, where he batted .355 with 31 stolen bases, earning Pacific League All-Star status. He earned his first call-up to the Nationals that season, seeing action in 25 games, batting .175. He batted .315 for New Orleans in 2006 and was called up again, seeing action in nine games. In 2007, with Class AAA Columbus, Watson batted .313 with two homers and 29 RBI and 17 stolen bases, earning yet another return to the Nationals, seeing action in five games and batting .278. In 39 games of MLB action, Watson batted .198 with one homer and seven RBI, but owns a career .302 batting average in minor league baseball with 217 career stolen bases. In 2009, playing for Class AAA Reno in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ organization, Watson batted .279 with five homers and 49 RBI and 18 stolen bases.
