David Oppenheim is playing his second season with the ThunderBolts and second as a professional in 2019. He signed on January 9, 2018 and appeared in 21 games in his first season with the Bolts. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he hit .335 over two years with an .886 OPS. As a senior in 2016, he batted .387 with a .500 on-base percentage and was honored as an All-Pac 12 performer as well as a Third Team All-American. He was an 18th round pick in the 2016 Amateur Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Angels but did not sign. David hit .377 in one year at the College of the Canyons after beginning his collegiate career at Pepperdine University, where he hit .227 with a .325 on-base percentage over 66 at bats. He attended Mercer Island High School in Mercer Island, Washington.
