Carr, a Chandler, Ariz. product, began his collegiate career at Mesa Community College (2012-13) before finishing at Southeastern Louisiana University (2014-15). As a senior with the Lions, Carr played in 58 games and he finished with a .336 batting average. He had 36 RBIs and 15 doubles and was also a 2015 All-Southland Conference first team selection.
