Previous Career: Played at MLB level from 1979-1981 for the California Angels. Served as hitting coach for Sioux Falls Canaries and Shreveport-Bossier Captains in the American Association. Also, served as hitting coach for Amarillo Dillas of United League before being named Field Manager in 2011. Served as hitting coach for Bridgeport in 2015 and selected as Liberty Division All-Star hitting coach.

Personal: John Thomas Harris. Born September 13, 1954 in Portland, Oregon. Drafted by the California Angels in the 29th round of the 1976 MLB Amateur Draft out of Lubbock Christian University.
