Bryant University Bulldog Jack Patterson makes his return to the Gulls after being on the 2015 roster. The lefty just finished up his senior season with the Bulldogs where he tossed 6 scoreless innings against Mount St. Mary’s and combined with former Gull James Karinchak for 15 strikeouts over Central Connecticut. Patterson did not play his junior year, but as a sophomore he had 5 starts in 8 appearances finishing with 8 strikeouts in the 9.0 innings that he pitched. Patterson had an immediate impact as a freshman, tossing 2 scoreless innings in his college debut and finished the season with an ERA of 3.41 and 35 strikeouts before missing the last month of the season due to injury. 

Before attending Bryant, Patterson attended Suffield Academy where he was a member of the Western New England Prep Baseball League Championship team in 2011. He was named First Team All-WNEPBL sophomore through senior years as well as WNEPBL Pitcher of the Year his junior and senior years. Gulls fans have a lot to look forward to when Patterson takes the mound, as he proved valuable in the 2015 summer season as well as the playoffs, where he went 2-0 through 13.2 innings allowing just 16 hits and recording 11 strikeouts.
