Drake Fellows, nicknamed “Draker”, joins his fellow Vanderbilt freshman teammates Ty Duvall and JJ Bleday in Newport this summer. Fellows was named SEC Freshman of the Week for a stellar start against St. Mary’s where he struck out 8 and allowed just 1 unearned run while retiring the last 18 batters he faced.

Fellows attended Joliet Catholic Academy where he was named 2016 Rawlings Perfect Game Second Team All-American. He also earned East Suburban Catholic Conference Pitcher of the Year during his sophomore and junior seasons as well as receiving All-Conference Honors. Stephen Scott, former Gull and current Vanderbilt teammate, stated that Drake is “a really good pitcher that is able to throw his off speed for strikes, which allows him to be successful at this level and he can throw any pitch in any situation.”
