The Ukiah, California-native began his career when he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 2006 draft out of the University of Northern Colorado.  Though never playing with the organization, Pearson joined Chico of the Golden League in 2007.  After a short stint with Yuma in 2008, Pearson became a journeyman pitcher with Rockford of the Frontier League before joining Fort Worth in the American Association in 2009 and Sioux City in 2010.  The 6-3, 210 lbs right-hander joined Amarillo in mid-season in 2010.  He became a vital part of the Dillas bullpen with a 6-1 record and 2.85 ERA, in helping the Dillas to a United League Championship.  He is expected to compete for the role as the Sox closer.
