Jake Stolley begins his second professional season with the ThunderBolts in 2017. He signed with the team on July 24, 2016 and threw four shutout innings in his pro debut three days later. He posted a 2.05 ERA in his rookie year in three starts and five relief appearances. Stolley played three years at Northwestern University, graduating in 2016 with a 3-6 career record and 3.86 ERA in 61 games (six starts). He saved seven games at Northwestern, including six in his sophomore year, in which he posted a 2.98 ERA in 29 games and 54.1 innings, all collegiate-carer bests. He bounced in and out of the starting rotation as a senior, starting six games and appearing in 16 out of the bullpen while compiling an ERA of 5.58. Prior to Northwestern, Jake attended Linn-Mar High School in Marion, Iowa.
