A superb effort by Alain Quijano hoisted the Grand Prairie AirHogs (52-47) to an 8-0 win over the Amarillo Sox (46-53) on Sunday at QuikTrip Park.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs' Quijano kept the Amarillo Sox off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up none.

The Grand Prairie AirHogs' bats came to life in the third inning. In the inning the Grand Prairie AirHogs scored five runs.

Bryan Frichter racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He doubled in the third inning, homered in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Trent Lare couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Amarillo Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
