Early lead not enough for the Wichita Wingnuts, drop 5-2 decision to the Kansas City T-Bones

The Wichita Wingnuts (33-21) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-2 to the Kansas City T-Bones (30-26) on Saturday.

A solo home run by Trevor Coleman gave the Kansas City T-Bones the lead in the fifth inning.

Coleman had a hot bat for the Kansas City T-Bones. Coleman went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Josh Rainwater picked up the win for the Kansas City T-Bones. Rainwater pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out four.

Jairo Perez led the Wichita Wingnuts' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Ryan Hinson (6-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
