Luis Alen drove in the winning run to give the Winnipeg (15-6) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Winnipeg hung on to beat the Fargo-Moorhead (9-13) 9-4 on Saturday.
Jon Weber reached on an error to start the sixth. He then went from first to third on a double by Yurendell de Caster. Finally, Alen came to the plate with the Winnipeg trailing by one, and singled, plating Weber and Weber.De Caster did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Winnipeg, reaching base four times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the sixth and ninth innings.
The Winnipeg relied on Chris Salamida to eat up innings en route to the win. Salamida allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out one over seven innings of work.
Jake Laber (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
