Tyson Corley hopes every outing could go as well as Tuesday, as Corley tossed a no-hitter to carry the Windy City ThunderBolts (51-40) to a 7-0 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (51-40) at Standard Bank Stadium.
The Windy City ThunderBolts blew out the Lake Erie Crushers thanks to 13 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Windy City ThunderBolts scored three runs in the fifth on and an RBI triple by Jareck West.
West racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts.
Corley got the win, running his season record to 5-8. Corley struck out nine, walked three and gave up no hits.
Eric Gonzalez-Diaz couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lake Erie Crushers, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
