Kyle Eveland went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Traverse City Beach Bums (62-30) took home a 6-1 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (54-38) at Wuerfel Park on Wednesday.

Jake Sabol had an impressive outing against the Gateway Grizzlies' lineup. The Gateway Grizzlies managed just two hits off of Sabol, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Landon Hernandez had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and fifth innings and singled in the ninth inning.

Kurt Wunderlich got the win, running his season record to 3-0. He allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Alex Kaminsky was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked none and struck out seven.
