While the Schaumburg Boomers led until the eighth inning, the Evansville Otters worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run home run by Nick Schwaner.

The Evansville Otters relied on Adam Champion to eat up innings en route to the win. Champion pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and no walks while striking out three.
