A walk-off single from Chris McClendon brought home the winning run for the Gateway Grizzlies (22-20) in a 4-3 victory over the Southern Illinois Miners (24-18) in 12 innings at GCS Ballpark - Sauget, IL on Monday.

McClendon racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the first, third, and twelfth innings.

Antone DeJesus had two extra-base hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the eighth inning and doubled in the tenth and twelfth innings.

The Southern Illinois Miners had no answer for Zac Treece, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Southern Illinois Miners managed just one hit off of Treece, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Darrin Tew was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
