The game between the Santa Fe Fuego (10-30) and the Santa Fe Fuego went into extra innings, but when the last out was recorded the Santa Fe Fuego emerged with a 5-4 victory.

With the score tied at four in the tenth inning, Omar Artsen came to the plate and reached on an error, plating Kevin Alvarez.

Matt Haskins racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Ryan Harper pitched eight innings and allowed three earned runs, seven hits and three walks while striking out five.

Jesse Baker had a hot bat for the Tucson Saguaros (32-10). Baker went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Mike Cowan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Aaron Smith (1-3) took the loss for the Tucson Saguaros. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
