The Trinidad Triggers (27-22) scored four runs in the eighth to cap a 17-7 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (14-36) on Monday.

The Trinidad Triggers scored in the eighth on an RBI double by Edmund Cheatham, a single by Jason Webb, an error, and a two-run double by Anthony Ruggiero.

Ruggiero put himself in scoring position with four extra-base hits for the Trinidad Triggers.

Karasinski Daniel struck out seven, paving the way for a the Trinidad Triggers win. Daniel allowed three earned runs on five hits and no walks over seven innings.

The Santa Fe Fuego were led by Matt Haskins's hitting. Haskins went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the ninth inning.

The Trinidad Triggers easily handled the Santa Fe Fuego pitching as six hitters combined for 20 hits, 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
