Valdez's triple propels the Palm Desert Coyotes past the Midwest Haymakers, 5-3

The Palm Desert Coyotes (5-6) jumped on the Midwest Haymakers (4-7) early on their way to a 5-3 win on Saturday at Palm Springs Turf Field in seven innings, scoring three runs in the first inning.

The Palm Desert Coyotes scored in the first on a two-run triple by Iszac Valdez and a sacrifice fly by Ryan Kilmon.

Valdez racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Palm Desert Coyotes.

Andrew Lowe kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Midwest Haymakers batters. Lowe allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks over six innings.

Will Soto boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Midwest Haymakers. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Alex Williams couldn't get it done on the bump for the Midwest Haymakers, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
