John Cruz went 1-3, sparking the Oregon Lumberjacks (2-2) to a 3-2 victory in seven innings over the British Columbia Bombers (2-2) on Friday at Palm Springs Turf Field.

The British Columbia Bombers had no answer for Clayton Crum, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The British Columbia Bombers managed just one hit off of Crum, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his three innings of work.

Scott Stonestreet recorded his first win of the year for the Oregon Lumberjacks. Stonestreet struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.

Alan Rombkowski couldn't get it done on the mound for the British Columbia Bombers, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed one run.
