Yezzo's three-run home run propels the Washington Wild Things past the Windy City ThunderBolts, 8-6

Three first-inning runs helped the Washington Wild Things (17-14) to an 8-6 win over the Windy City ThunderBolts (19-13) at CONSOL Energy Park on Saturday.

A three-run home run by Jimmy Yezzo delivered the runs in the first. The Washington Wild Things had four hits in the inning.

Yezzo racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things.

Sam Agnew-Wieland improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Washington Wild Things. He allowed two runs over 1 1/3 innings. Agnew-Wieland struck out none, walked none and gave up four hits.

Mitchell Cody ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out none.
