A magnificent effort by Codi Scanlon spurred the Yorkton Cardinals (1-2) to a 2-0 win over the Regina Red Sox (2-1) on Tuesday at Jubilee Park.
Scanlon held the Regina Red Sox scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out five.
John Whaley racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Yorkton Cardinals. He singled in the first innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
