The Regina Red Sox (23-24) blew out the Yorkton Cardinals (20-28) 7-1 on Friday at Jubilee Park after pouring on four runs in the fourth inning.

The Regina Red Sox scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Jordan Schulz, a groundout by Brandon Vaughn, a single by Henry Rowland, , and a single by Gabriel Montero.

The Yorkton Cardinals jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Yorkton Cardinals led until the fourth inning, but the Regina Red Sox took the lead back on a groundout by Vaughn.

Parks Smithey picked up the win for the Regina Red Sox. Smithey allowed no earned runs, three hits and three walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Jamie Whitehead couldn't get it done on the mound for the Yorkton Cardinals, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
