Jack Cleary racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Joliet Slammers. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Kevin McNorton brought the heat against the River City Rascals during his outing. McNorton held the River City Rascals hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Jackson Slaid put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the River City Rascals. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third and fifth innings.
Lucas Laster ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
