The Washington Wild Things (31-19) and the Florence Freedom (21-27) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Washington Wild Things that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win at UC Health Stadium.

Scott Kalamar had two extra-base hits for the Washington Wild Things. He doubled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Zak Blair led the Florence Freedom's offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Zac Fuesser recorded his fifth win of the year for the Washington Wild Things. He allowed one run over five innings. Fuesser struck out five, walked four and gave up seven hits.

Casey Henn couldn't get it done on the mound for the Florence Freedom, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
