Bryant's double gives the Rockford Aviators walk-off win over the Joliet Slammers, 3-2

Story by Narrative Science.

A walk-off double from Kenny Bryant brought home the winning run for the Rockford Aviators (14-16) in a 3-2 victory over the Joliet Slammers (14-17) at Aviator Stadium on Saturday.

Bryant led the Rockford Aviators' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the seventh inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

The Joliet Slammers had no answer for Josh Slaats, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Joliet Slammers managed just three hits off of Slaats, who allowed one earned run, walked six and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Joliet Slammers' Blair Walters dominated the Rockford Aviators' batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.

Logan Odom improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford Aviators. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Walters couldn't get it done on the hill for the Joliet Slammers, taking a loss.
