The Lethbridge Bulls jump on the Weyburn Beavers early and coast to 17-5 win

The Lethbridge Bulls (11-14) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Weyburn Beavers (8-18), recording a 17-5 victory on Thursday at Spitz Stadium.

The game was decided quickly as the Lethbridge Bulls exerted their will early with 15 runs in the first three innings.

A two-run single by Ryan Pidhaichuk, an RBI single by Matt Redfearn, an RBI single by DJ Boschmann, and a three-run triple by Kade Billeaudeux during the first inning and an RBI single by Redfearn, a hit by pitch, a two-run single by Travis Steinke, a groundout by Billeaudeux, a two-run single by Pidhaichuk, and an RBI double by Redfearn in the second inning helped the Lethbridge Bulls put some runs on the board early.

Billeaudeux racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Lethbridge Bulls.

Dalton Silva was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Lethbridge Bulls batters and allowing three runs.

Dennis Neal improved to 2-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Lethbridge Bulls. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered nine hits.

Michael Crain ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in one-third of an inning, walked three and struck out none.
