The Fort Worth Cats (5-0) beat the Edinburg Roadrunners (0-4) 3-1 in seven innings on Saturday at LaGrave Field behind Greg Bachman, who went 1-2.

Boomer Potts looked sharp on the mound. Potts held the Edinburg Roadrunners hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Eric Sheridan got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over four innings. Sheridan struck out two, walked three and gave up three hits.

Drew Coffey was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
