The Lake Norman Copperheads (10-9) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Carolina Chaos (7-10) roared back to steal a 2-1 victory at Hopewell HS.

A two-run triple by Brandon Soat gave the Carolina Chaos the lead in the fifth inning.

Buddy Elgin was hot from the plate for the Carolina Chaos. Elgin went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Hunter Tipton improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Carolina Chaos. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Josh Branch (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
