A walk-off double from Patrick McKenna brought home the winning run for the Normal CornBelters (4-1) in a 5-4 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts (1-5) in 10 innings at The Corn Crib on Wednesday.
McKenna put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Normal CornBelters. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the tenth inning.
Alan Oaks got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Oaks struck out three, walked none and gave up no hits.
Tyler Claburn ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
The Normal CornBelters' Steven Felix, McKenna, T.J. Gavlik and David Medina combined for five hits and five RBIs.
